America's Eclipse
On August 21st, 2017 there will be an eclipse of the sun crossing the United States beginning in the Northwest following a path across the Midwest to the Carolinas on the East coast. A strip about 80 miles wide will experience the full darkness of the eclipse, while the States north and south of this path will experience a partial eclipse. Be sure to wear eye protection of some very dark glasses if you plan on viewing it.
Eclipses have often been considered as prophetic warnings of judgment. After an eclipse on August 14, 1914 over Eastern Europe and the Ottoman empire many feel it was a warning of coming destruction. The Ottoman Empire, ruled by Turkey for many years, was destroyed in WW1.
